48km. We’re putting in long paddle days through heat of day, starting to feel it. Arrived Manda Bay - looking like two sailors who’d been adrift for weeks. Found local guest house with World Cup soccer final playing (well done France 🇫🇷) plus cold Kilimanjaro beers 🍻 Saved just in time!
Last few days passed through amazing wilderness, remote camps with night skies a blaze with stars. Lake behaving better but she’s temperamental, wind direction changes with no warning. Blisters are now callused, balancing through the swells second nature and paddling feels more natural now than walking on land lol. Looking forward to the next stretch!
